Psychological Assessment and Therapy

My services include psychological assessment and therapy for children (with their parents if under 12 years), teenagers and adults. My therapy approach is informed by effective, evidence-based treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Systemic Family Therapy. I work with people who experience a wide range of difficulties and challenging situations, including:

  • Anxiety
  • PTSD/Trauma
  • Depression
  • Gender identity issues
  • Illness and injury
  • Sleep problems
  • Self-harm
  • Eating issues
  • Alcohol and drug problems
  • Grief and loss
  • Parenting difficulties
  • Stress management and work burnout
  • Anger management
  • Relationship problems

Contracts – I hold contracts with ACC Sensitive Claims & ACC Physical Injury Claims and NZ Police.

In addition to the above, please feel free to contact me to talk through any concerns or difficulties you are experiencing. Together we can figure out which problems you would most like help with at this time. The number of therapy sessions needed will depend on the difficulties to be addressed and on your personal goals. A treatment plan will be developed and discussed with you following the initial assessment appointment, and progress towards your therapy and individual goals will be reviewed together regularly.

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, by appointment only.

My fee is $220 (GST inclusive) for a 55-minute session, payable by cash, cheque or internet banking at the time of the session. If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, please ensure that you give at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged a cancellation fee. Some health insurance organisations may assist with funding for consultations with Registered Psychologists, so please check with your insurer.
